Get an exam: This could be completely benign or something serious. Plese get a dental exam and avoid self medication. That really complicates the diagnostic process.

See Oral Surgeon: If Nystatin taken in the right dosage, for the right amount of time and prescribed by a doctor did not work, it's unlikely you have a fungal infection. It is most likely something else. There is a whole host of other possibilities. I suggest that you see an oral surgeon for an evaluation and definitive diagnosis. A biopsy might be necessary to determine what it is and how best to treat it.

4 weeks = see DDS/MD: Anti-fungal Nystatin is often rx'd for oral thrush. This yeast infection can occur when the mouth's normal bacterial flora is suppressed by antibiotics, steroids (asthma inhalers), or a weakened immune system often dissipating with reduction of causative agent+ use of nystatin. Your symptoms could also be an autoimmune lichen planus or precancerous leukoplakia. Get an dds or md diagnosis now!
