Severe panic attacks before/when flying. i have lorazepam .5 and alprazolam .25 and have 2 flights (2hrs, 11hrs) in one day. how should i take meds?

Flight Fright: Usually the problem won't solve of you take either or both of those medications. I would suggest you ask your primary doctor to prescribe propranolol 10 mg and you can start taking once or twice a day a couple a days befor the trip. Then take it three times a day, if not having side effects, which are not usually very prominent. If you take any sedative (Xanax (alprazolam) or Ativan) use one or the other.
