Many disorders: Female with gastrointestinal dysfunction & "fatigue/weakness" needs exam & studies to evaluate several possible organic causes. If there are no specific findings, then functional disorders like Irritable Bowel Syndrome & Fibromyalgia might be considered, and dysautonomia of the autonomic nervous system becomes suspect. Many Fibromyalgia, FM, symptoms represent dysautonomia, which is abnormal organ functions due to irregular signals of parasympathetic & sympathetic nerves and which arise as these nerves are impinged, where they are tethered, by joints rendered hypermobile via inheritance, Hypermobility Syndrome, or from lax/injured ligaments.

Why do dysautonomia symptoms occur: autonomic nerves, AN, sympathetic & parasympathetic, control cardiac & smooth muscles of organs; exit bony spine via tiny openings whereat they are tethered. Irregular joint movements, wherein range of motion is excessive due to lax/injured ligaments, impinge AN, stimulating irregular neural signals that effect dysfunctions of tissues these nerves innervate.

Profound weakness is an hallmark of Fibromyalgia. Lethargy, due to pain and sleeplessness, is common. Generation of ennui potentiates additional inactivity, and further loss of muscle mass & tone. Fibromyalgia is a disorder that begets itself.
