Heart burn, indigest: H. Pylori can cause gastritis and peptic ulcer disease, which can cause bleeding, belching, indigestion, epigastric pain, nausea, dark stools etc. Best way is to have an egd done, but there are other noninvasive ways as well, i.E breath urea. Treatment is fairly easy and successful with a short course of antibiotics and medications like Nexium (esomeprazole) or prevacid, and others.
