SomeSlackInTheBack: You're a little young, but that 'better by bending forward or sitting' may indicate a problem in the spinal area that needs attention. Not like immediately but soon. so make an appointment to be examined. Most likely it will be something minor; age is in your favor. Some stretching, home exercises and conditioning will help. Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin too.

May be inflammatory: This may be inflammatory back pain -if you have sacroiliitis this is also inflammatory. Your doctor can clarify but you also have mechanical symptoms. You may need to see a rheumatologist.
