Yoga: Try taking some Ibuprofen and a yoga class twice a week. At you age it's probably muscular and just needs to be stretched. If it does not resolve in 3 to 4 weeks see your doctor.

Muscle Spasm: Pain with sitting typically stresses the disk in the lumbar spine (lower back). This is often relieved with standing or sitting as there is less pressure on the disk in these positions. Younger patients will often have only back symptoms without sciatica if they have a disc herniation. If your pain is truly severe and not getting better, that deserves an evaluation by a spine or pain specialist.
