See below: A concussion is also called a Mild Traumatic Brain Injury. Most of the symptoms appear due to a temporary dysfunction of the brain rather than a structural change. Although now it's recognized that some structural changes can take place. Most recover quickly or over several months. Repeated concussions can lead to Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy which is a progressive disease and is incurable .
