Inflammation: This points to the presence of inflammation. Because of the breathing problem, need to find out whether the inflammation is coming from the lung tissue. Although airway inflammation is the hallmark of asthma, it is not associated with an elevated CRP. Cancer is not usually associated with significant inflammation. Suggest a pulmonary or allergy consult.
