Entirely possible.: Bear in mind that the most accurate dating is the earliest 1st trimester ultrasound. If embryonic size is smaller than expected from the LMP, another US must be done to be assured that growth rate is normal; if ok then the EDC must be changed to conform to embryonic size, not dates. The embryonic heart starts to beat at 22 days post conception, and 2 weeks earlier than the date of the LMP
