I normally take amoxicillin before dental work but i forgot to have my prescription filled. i have some cefdinir, would that work as well? if so how much should i take. i normally take four 500 mg amoxicillin.

Call your dentist: You can't just take a different antibiotic.. it doesn't work that way. Amoxicillin is the drug of choice for prophylaxis. You may have to quickly get the script filled or reschedule your appointment.
