Small: Smooth can be cyst or fibroadenoma or other things. Ultrasound can help solve. May need removal- as biopsy. Mammogram can define calcium or follow up.

Still small: However whatever size, once palpable a mammogram has to be done stat and if needed a breast biopsy is waranted. Please do this asap and not put it off!

Small, but plz C Dr.: It is very difficult to distinguish normal "lumpy-bumpy" breast tissue from one that warrants further evaluation. Lumps that "count" tend to be 3-dimensionally round rather than pencil- or pancake-shaped and are harder than normal rubbery breast tissue. When finding a new lump, it is best to see your dr.;it may be wise to get a mammogram, ultrasound, or even a biopsy, depending on their findings.

Very large painful lump on breast. About cm above nipple. Can see it just by looking from the side in the mirror. Little red, could be from touching. Very hard, doesnt seem to correlate with period. 4 days post period, nothing before or during.
