Several causes.: Many women will have irregular menses if they are very stressed. This could be an emotional stress, recent illness, weight loss, excessive exercise. Hormone imbalance with either thyroid dysfunction or a condition called Polycystic Ovary Syndrome will also cause delayed menses and your doctor can test for these. If you feel healthy, give it a month or two and you may go back to your old cycle.
