Yes: Throat chlamydia is rare, but is real. Can be silent for months. But can be just like any sore throat. Antibiotic Rx necessary.

Yes: It is possible to get a chlamydia infection in your throat and/or mouth after exposure to chlamydia from oral sex. Symptoms may be sore throat or white spots in the back of the throat, but there may be no symptoms at all. He should definitely have an exam and a culture of his throat to be sure.
