STD or fungal infxn: This could be a form of fungal infection (tinea or 'jock itch'), which would respond to OTC antifungal medicine like tolnaftate or terbinifine. Pustules on the penis are of more concern - unless these go away quickly with antifungal treatment, please get yourself checked for a sexually transmitted disease (STD)
