Sounds like it could: be reflux,caused by the floppy valve between the stomach and esophagus which allows fluids and acid to come back up.This is very common in babies and is usually outgrown by the end of the first year of life,if not before.It is a benign condition as long as your baby is gaining weight. However,since your baby seems to be in pain,you should discuss it with his/her doctor for possible treatment.
