When taking ear drops for an outer ear infection should i keep my head tilted and leave the drops in my ear or should i allow them to drop back out, as i've been leaving the drops in my ear and the infection hasn't showed any signs of improvement, thank y

General rule: With ear drops, you want to remain in a position with the drops settling into the ear for at least a minute before getting up. They should have time to coat the area involved at that point.Sometimes there is so much debris in the canal the drops don't reach the treatment zone.These require removal of debris and sometimes insertion of a wick that can draw the med in.Discuss with your doc
