Old fashion: there is a lot of papers written on the best way to treat pilonidal cyst.. All of them came to one conclusion, go back to the old fashion way. The old fashion is not to close the wound and let it heal from the inside out,it take a longer time, but the healing is solid with the least possible recurrence. Some time we use a wound vac to speed up the healing, see a surgeon or wound care specialist.
