Exactly: If you have a Pap test it is done by several methods but all of them do irritate the area around the cervix and just inside the area. It is quite vascular and can easily bleed after a procedure like the Pap smear. So this is a very common event after the exam and sampling is taken. If persists or gets heavy you should always get back with your provider. I hope this helps.
