No: Sulfa is an antibiotic but sulfate is an agent (salt) bound to many medications and has not been known to cause any adverse reactions. It is unusual for Tagamet or Pepcid (famotidine) to cause an anxiety reaction. My best guess is that the intake of these drugs might have slowed down the breakdown of caffeine leading to a higher blood level and thus the anxiety. But then it may just be the drugs themselves.
