Often nothing: ill defined upper abdominal pain can be caused by splenic aneurysms but most are asymptomatic. Also most splenic aneurysms don't grow and we are rethinking when to treat them At present the indications are size>2 cm, patients with liver disease or a woman who can become pregnant. Best way to follow is ultrasound or CT scan.
