Started adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) for narcolepsy.xr in morning then ir 3x per day. worked for 2 days stopped. increased dose=50mg. worked for a week then stopped.why?

Tachyphylaxis: You need to educate yourself about the characteristics and behavior of amphetamines. What you're experiencing is common and you need to be informed about it. Taking stimulants is not like popping an ibuprofen for a strain. Especially as your condition is permanent and can't be cured, only treated. Knowledge is power; arm yourself.

Tolerance: Would suggest using either modafanil or Provigil, as expect either would work better.
