Heart Attack: Yes, tests can always miss things. If you want a more accurate answer you may benefit from an outpatient stress test if your doctor agrees and you have risk factors. Having said that, stress itself rarely causes a heart attack. What stress does is however make you often feel like you are having one.

Yes: A heart attack at age 36 is unusual. But the answer to your question is yes, depending on the tests. THE most sensitive test to detect problems is an exercise stress test with EKG monitoring and evaluation of heart function with and without exercise either by echocardiogram or radioisotope. You would have to check to see whether those are covered by our insurance.
