Gout is high uric : acid in your body that deposits in a joint causing inflammation. You either underexcrete or overproduce uric acid depending on your particular case. Alcohol is the chief offended but many foods rich in purine are culprits. Cheese and organ meats are the most common. The big toe is the most common joint affected. See a doctor to figure out if a prescription agent is warranted. cherry juice can help
