Seek MD/Gastroentero: hiccups can arise from irritation of vagus nerve, which connect to diaphragm, gallbladder, stomach, and esophagus. Thus inflammation from acid reflux (GERD) can cause both aspiration and hiccups - should be evaluated by MD for work-up and possible proper medication - consult me if further questions
