A member asked:

I have moderate mitral prolapse and myxomatous what does that mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Weak tissue: This term is applied to a condition where the tissue that connects the valve to the heart tissue may be looser (weaker). Generally benign (not to worry) but I would discuss it with your MD if your symptoms are worsening. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myxomatous_degeneration
