No need to titrate: It is OK to abruptly stop Verapamil and substitute it with another anti hypertension medicine. There is no need to titrate Verapamil down. Unlike other classes of anti hypertensive like beta blockers that usually need titrations. it is advisable to check BP on the new anti hypertensive medication to ensure proper BP control.
