A member asked:

My mother had a mammogram and they want a follow up. they said hers was too foggy and the density was too high as a result? what does it mean?danger?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not necessarily: The mammogram was, in all likelihood, technically unsatisfactory for interpretation. Some women have dense breasts and may require an additional approach. The need for follow-up is not a danger sign.
