HSV 1: More information is needed to answer your question. Many different body fluids (blood, genital fluids, blister fluid, CSF etc) and tissue can be tested for HSV 1. What type of test was positive? Are you having an outbreak of the HSV infection? where? Generally speaking, HSV 1 can be contagious especially if you are having active disease on your skin/lips/mouth with ulcers/blisters
