A member asked:

If i took plan b and got my period a week early (the next week), does that mean it canceled my ovulation or did i ovulate that week during my period?

Plan B effect: Plan b is essentially taking a high dose of birth control to disrupt the hormonal patterns in your body to delay or prevent ovulation. An abnormal period afterwards is not surprising. One can not say for sure if it prevented or delayed ovulation in any one individual. A pregnancy test should always be done about 2 weeks after using Plan B to determine if it worked or not.

Hmm.: It is hard to predict when someone will ovulate as anyone trying to have a baby will tell you. Throwing in plan B, all bets are off. Your regular cycle will resume afterwards; meanwhile, please use your usual safe sex precautions to avoid sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancy.
