Started taking biotin, 3wks, 5,000 mcg. skin looks horrible. does biotin cause breakouts? am i taking too much? recommend dosage?

Why did you do it?: Nobody knows why, but biotin seems to make acne flare. Why are you taking the stuff? Get your acne under control with topical benzoyl peroxide and/or retinoic acid; this should be sufficient but if you need to add prescription-strength medicine, talk with your physician.
