Unfortunately: Some patients develop post-stroke pain and it can be very difficult to treat. The pain originates in the brain but feels like it is coming from the site where it hurts. I recommend seeing a pain doctor to establish the diagnosis and make sure it is not something else.

Have this checked: Frozen shoulder, or adhesive capsulitis may occur associated with a stroke, although hypothyroidism and diabetes could cause a similar issue. Some timely physical therapy may prevent further issues, and underlying contributions should be excluded.
