Pain Control First: Tylenol, (acetaminophen) ibuprofen, numbing ear drops, warm compresses can be used to comfort ear. Benadryl use for congestion or less sedating antihistamine like claritin/zyrtec. See md for poss antibiotic if increased pain/fever associated with inner ear infection.

? ear infection: Fever with ear pain, suspect ear infection. Is he having fever ever since you took him to doctor? This is a long time to be having fever. Recommend taking him again to the doctor.
