39 weeks 4 centimeters dilated. got sent home from hospital. now the mucus plug came out. what should i do?

Mucus plug: First losing the mucus plug doesn't necessarily mean labor and typically if already 4cm, you probably lost most of it before that. I would call your OB's office and just alert them, so they can decide if you need to be seen or sent back to labor and delivery. It might also be a good time to discuss elective labor induction.
