Pregnancy unlikely: Irregular bleeding after taking a morning-after pill, like Plan B or Ella, (ulipristal acetate) is somewhat common. Some women get spotting or bleeding before the next period. Women may also have a heavier or lighter next period, or a period that is early or late (hard to predict) . A urine pregnancy test should be done 3 weeks after taking a morning-after pill, to be sure there is no pregnancy.

Normal: This is normal with plan B, it can cause irregularities with your bleeding schedule. Pregnancy should be a concern if there was no bleeding more than 7 days after your missed period. Your period might be off schedule. One can’t say when you should expect your next period, but it should be within the next 4 weeks.
