See below: There are a number of reasons for an unusual cycle or abnormal bleeding. Multiple factors can affect the normal hormonal control of your cycle, including emotional stress and rapid change in weight, severe illness, thyroid problems etc. etc Your bleeding wouldn't be from pregnancy if you just had a normal period prior.
