Why do i have reactive hypoglycemia. i'm not diabetic (i don't think) and not on diabetes medication. i am on an ssri, i am nursing, & have pcos.

Insulin Resistance: This is actually a complex question, but the PCOS is likely a major part of the answer. Most if not all pts w PCOS have insulin resistance and this makes them make too much insulin and also possibly mistime the production of insulin to food. After you eat & the insulin brings your sugar to normal there may still be some insulin hanging around and the sugar drops. There are ways to help this.
