Menstrual: cramping is not uncommon in women on their menstrual cycle, caused by hormonal fluctuations, release of prostaglandins, uterine and pelvic contractions. If you are not allergic to Aleve (naproxen) or Advil I would recommend Aleve (naproxen)- 1 tab initially and repeat every 8 hrs OR Advil- 2-3 tab every 6 hours on a full stomach. If not relieved call your GYN for a pelvic exam and studies.
