Insurance is cheaper: At age 22, the cost of a single visit could pay for 3 months of health insurance under the Affordable Care Act. If you are working you or your employer are required by law to obtain health Insurance. If you're not working then you probably qualify for government subsidized insurance at no cost. You never just need one visit to a doctor. Trying to pay out of pocket for medical care will break you.
