Depends on type: Without being able to visualize the file, it is difficult to say. However, from the history, this sounds like a benign tumor such as a meningioma. These tend to be slow growing. Even if these are close to a blood vessel, they would compress the vessel slowly. Thus if you are concerned about the blood vessel getting "shut off" that would happen slowly and the body usually forms collaterals vessels.
