Migraine: You likely have other family members who suffer these, and your description strongly suggests migraine headaches. These can be prevented by use of several OTC preps, such as feverfew, riboflavin, Co-Q10, butterbur, or even magnesium. Stopping these, once they occur is a bit tougher, and prescription triptans are usually most successful. An INBOX consult or Concierge visit provides more input.
