A member asked:

Recent u/s = iud in endocervix; gyn adv. leaving it. bleeding 7 days w/ "contractions" (belly, back, anus); (-) preg.; could my body be expelling it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Remove it: If the IUD is in the cervical canal, it need to be removed and replaced. It's supposed to be in the uterus (hence intrauterine device) for it to be maximally effective.
