Heart symptoms-below: I assume you are talking about postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. This is a form of autonomic nervous system dysfunction. Going from a lying down position to a standing position causes an exaggerated increase in heart rate. The symptoms include dizziness/lightheadedness and palpitations.
