More hydration +: 20-30 mmhg at least knee high compression stockings, increase salt and water intake, avoiding hot weather, caffeine, alcohol and dehydration as these exacerbate your condition. Eat small frequent meals and avoid simple carbs, when conservative medical and lifestyle modification fails, perscritption medications like midodrine, beta blockers, anti-depressant, and anxiolytics are needed.

Get examined.: Although many pots patients are volume depleted, it's best to have a cardiologist perform a careful thorough exam, including history, physical exam, blood and urine testing. Your blood pressure and heart rate should be checked sitting and standing. Then treatment can be given or further special tests might be performed. Fluids, salt and specific drugs can readily control most cases.
