Probably not: The ear canal takes a little downturn and those who report blood/pain after qtip use have probably just scratched some of the skin inside the ear - not damaged the ear drum. Ears sensitive: The ears are very sensitive to "trauma"". Even a q tip can cause bleeding. No more q tios for a few weeks and you should be fine. If you develop a lot of pain, have fever or pus from ear,see an MD.

Nothing but elbow: The old saying, don't put anything in your ear other than your elbow applies. You likely scratched the sidewall of the canal. If that is what happened it will self heal in a few days if left alone. The only way to know for sure is with an exam.
