Possible rupture: You may have punctured you ear drum with the q tip. You need to have a medical provider take a look at it tomorrow. There is no need to go to ER BUT do not get water into the ear until you are seen. If there is a puncture the water could get into the middle ear. Most punctures/ruptures heal fine but may need to avoid contact with water for some time.

See doctor asap: could have a ruptured ear drum or cut in the canal, Never put anything smaller than your elbow in your ear.
