Verapamil: is usually indicated for prevention rather than treatment of migraines, when used on a regular basis. Please consult your internist and neurologist. Certain foods can aggravate migraines. This can be searched on the web. Get well.

Explanation: Verapamil and other calcium channel blockers are most effective as preventative agents, but have NO utility in the process of reversing migraine once it is in place. Thus, the real issue here is stopping what appears to be "status migrainosis". Tools here include steroids, 100% oxygen, various injections (such as Compazine), and maybe Cambia powder or ergotamines. A neurologist can help.
