Need thryoid hormone: The TSH measures the the output of the pituitary gland. It is working overtime to get the thyroid gland to produce enough thyroxine., you need thyroid replacement therapy to bring your TSH level to 2.

May be nothing: Thyroid hormone production and control are complex. If your T3 (liothyronine) and T4 levels are normal but your TSH is slightly high, it may be nothing at all. Talk with your doctor and ask about consulting with an endocrinologist if this worries you. It is unlikely this will affect your social life.
