It could happen: Recurrent oral herpes (cold sore) outbreaks usually occur in pretty much the same place every time, usually on or near the lips. But it can happen anywhere nearby, including the nose. If the bridge of your nose is a new place, a cold sore is less likely. If this is your first possible outbreak, probably it's something else. If in doubt, see a doctor for professional evaluation and testing.
