A member asked:

My 6 week old daughter is always constipated, can i give her miralax (polyethylene glycol)? if so how much how often?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

NO: Miralax (polyethylene glycol) is not a good choice at this time. Depends on feedings - if she is TOTALLY breastfed then 2-7 days between stools are normal as breastmilk is almost fully digested. Formula babies more likely to have issues. ADULT apple juice good shot of it in each bottle can help soften stool. Glycerin suppositories will help lubricate/pull water to anus. See MD soon for more guidance.
