Correctable cause?: If it is low on two tests, he should be evaluated for a cause, based on those results. A physical exam along with testing for endocrine abnormalities are necessary, as he has normal sperm. The most common finding would be a varicocele (15%), which can be corrected and may return normal numbers of sperm. For hormonal problems, stimulation of production with medicines might work. Seek a urologist.
